Class 10,000 infusion facilities

Regionally Unduplicated Sterile Compounding for Safety and Security

Working in our compounding facility

CARE first is the only mid-sized institutional pharmacy in the region to have a 3-compartment, certified Class 10,000 compounding IV facility that meets USP 797 pharmaceutical-compounding, sterile-preparation clean room standards, including air flow standards and pressure gradients to assure sterile air. These sterile facilities not only assure the safety of the pharmacy staff and the patients who receive these pharmaceuticals, but also assure our customers of a full range of safe, effective IV compounding services.

CARE first‘s infusion facilities are striving towards compliance with the United States Pharmacopeia’s (USP’s) General Chapter 797 Pharmaceutical Compounding—Sterile Preparations, and we model our practices after the standard until certification becomes available. These rigorous standards apply not only to the sterile compounding chambers, but also to the professional staff who prepare compounding sterile preparations, as well as how preparations are stored and transported.[1]
